I have seen good service in hospitals, and I have seen devotion in temples and religious centers, but here in SECI, I see service combined with devotion.

Thank You, My name is Sibin S K. I live in Atholi, near Calicat, in Kerala. I used to have problems with my vision and I underwent Corneal transplantations in both my eyes at Sankara Eye Society in Coimbatore.

From the excellent presentations made in the seminar today, I can only say that: "We have miles to go before we sleep and miles to go before we sleep."

I am most impressed with the range and depth of the activities of Sankara Eye Centre. In particular, their rural outreach and facilities for the poor are most impressive.

Clearly one of the very best eye hospitals I have seen so far. The mixture of efficiency and caring is very noticeable and obviously works to great effect. I simply wish we had more time to spend here!

The level of expertise, technology and dedication is astounding. Regarding Cataract Surgery, I felt the doctors at Sankara had much to teach me! This type of exchange is so valuable to allinvolved. The theatre, refractive surgery center and hundreds of non paying as well as paying patients leave inspirational impressions which will stay with me forever.

Thank you for a short but most educative visit to this happy hospital. I hope it will be possible to establish closer links between the two hospitals with the purpose of enhancing training and experience in each institution.

I write to thank you for inviting me to participate in the celebration at the House of Commons of the Sankara Eye Care Institutes' singular achievement of one million free cataract surgeries. It is a measure of the commitment of all personnel who take part in the process, whether administrative, supportive, medical or nursing that this has been achieved. The aspiration to provide exemplary patient care in all 20 States in India based on the model in Coimbatore is outstanding and maybe one day this expertise can be used in other countries where cataract blindness is so prevalent.
